But it also is filled with unending guests, revelries and a bit of chaos if you please. Calling all book lovers – transform your bookshelf into a stylish Christmas tree by arranging your books into a simple triangle. Work with similar coloured spines, throw in some candles or ornaments and you are set.

Work the industrial chic vibe with a mini tree in an aluminum bucket. You can add in warmth using a rug or a dhurrie, some hurricanes with candles and a few floor cushions.

If stark is how you like it – then work the triangular frames with just a few candles. You can put a large frame with some thoughtful quote; it will help soften the look.

Another thing that we feel works really well is a cluster of pretty things. You can have your carpenter cut you a triangular shaped ply with a stand. Add some shelves, use similar shaped objects that simply hint at the formation of a tree, line your ornaments and you are well on your way to spread some cheer.

A simple but striking option is to work with a wireframe. This is best for small spaces as it does away with the need for a bulky tree. You can glue together ornaments of your choice and place it inside the wireframe.
